Macromedia’s new family of web development tools
"MX" which includes all the major applications: Dreamweaver,
Flash, Freehand, Fireworks and Coldfusion are now available as one
product "Macromedia Studio MX".
Macromedia calls their new products " Rich Internet
Applications". These are meant to extend the web without replacing it, enabling the development of applications that offer
better, more interactive and intuitive user experiences.
Dreamweaver lets you achieve complete control over code
and design. Build the site you want, the way you want it, using the visual layout tools of Dreamweaver
combined with the code-editing tools of HomeSite, which is now part of Dreamweaver MX.
Enhance productivity using the new integrated workspace,
which is shared with Macromedia Flash MX and Fireworks MX. The workspace includes tabbed document
windows, dockable panel groups, customizable toolbars, and integrated file browsing.
