Dymo LabelWriter Turbo 330

I had the good fortune to attend a recent trade show.  As I perused the vendors present, I came across the team of people representing Dymo label makers.

Now to be honest, I was not looking for information related to label printers, but I sure was converted to a very interested observer.  If you have not seen one of these dedicated printers in operation lately, trust me when I say you are in for a surprise.  I was watching a device print more than thirty labels, at letter quality, in less than a minute.  And then they even told me it could be a station on the network!

Also, my concept of a label printer was vastly expanded when I was informed of the variety of stock types it could print on. If you can imagine a type of label you wish to print, this printer can handle it.  It can even print Internet Postage!  Check out the website for the diversity of print stock available.

The LabelWriter is the fastest label printer available.  It handles all the same labels as the LabelWriter 330, with the same outstanding print quality, and prints twice as fast!  Taking just 2 seconds per label.  The LabelWriter 330 connects to a USB or serial port and is Windows or Macintosh compatible.

"If you won't compromise on speed or flexibility, then don't settle for less than the 330 Turbo.  The very fastest label printer available, it prints more than 40 standard label sizes up to 2.3" (56 mm) wide in a time-crushing two seconds flat! Go ahead - print laser sharp text and graphics on your labels for envelopes and packages, Pendaflex files, CDs, videos and name badges. The Turbo even prints Internet postage. Its easy-to-use DYMO Label Software is accessible right from Microsoft Word, Outlook, the Palm Desktop, GoldMine, ACT, and CardScan and works with all other software through standard print drivers."

The Turbo 330 uses direct thermal print technology, which eliminates ribbons, toner and ink cartridges.  At a resolution of 300dpi, you really get laser sharp labels.

I installed the printer on one of my older 1.8GHZ PC's, running Windows XP and as soon as I installed the software and plugged it in, I was up and running.  Once I registered the unit on the web, I had access to a great support site, developer's forum, custom pre-printed labels and the ability to order supplies on-line. I was even able to download a patch, enabling digital certificating, for the latest Windows XP.

The unit software even provides help with working with most of the popular Personal Information Systems applications out there today.

This printer becomes a real useful tool for the office, as well as those SOHO members out there.  If you have a need to label many items, and you need them right away, this product was designed for you.  I highly recommend this model to those interested in label making.
